Zelal Yesilyurt

Zelal Yeşilyurt (*2000 in Berlin) is a director, author and multimedia artist, working between performing- & dramatic arts, installation, poetry and prose. She studied Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen and Playwriting at the University of Arts Berlin. Her plays I’m a girl you can hold IRL (2024), Cyberangel (2024) and I LOVE ZELAL (2026) (all written and directed b herself) premiered at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. Her debut novel, Molotov Cocktail Dress, will be releasen in September 2026 at Korbinian Verlag.
Her writing has been published in Das Wetter, Der Freitag, BELLA triste and Tegel Media. She works and writes in German and English and is represented by rua. Kooperative für Text und Regie.
