»Those days my bed felt like a cocoon. Part of me knew that I was just letting life pass me by. But I didn’t care. I was ready to throw myself into the rot.
They say that misery is wasted on the miserable. It sounds like a sick joke until you feel it in your bones.
‘I miss the comfort in being sad’, Kurt Cobain once wailed. The pain was so shamelessly… exquisite.
But I couldn't ignore that something was missing.
I could feel its negative space.«

After going through a painful experience, Winnie spends her days doomscrolling and bedrotting away in her room, in a miasma of apathy, decay and the occasional emotional breakdown.
We follow her into a world where the artificial and the spiritual are indistinguishable from one another, days bleed into each other and Winnie herself falling deeper and deeper into the shapeless mass of The Rot. Until one day she experiences true comfort and empathy from a strange, unexplainable place...
Cyberangel ist about network spirituality, grief & healing, moments of hopelessness and transcendence. It combines performance with multimedia installation.
