Zelal Yesilyurt

Zelal Yeşilyurt (*2000 in Berlin) is a director, author and multimedia artist, working between performing- & dramatic arts, installation, poetry and prose. She studied Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen and Playwriting at the University of Arts Berlin. Her play I’m a girl you can hold IRL and instllative performance Cyberangel (directed by herself) premiered at Maxim Gorki Theater. Her upcoming play I love Zelal is scheduled for January 2026, at Maxim Gorki Theatre aswell. Her writing has been published in Das Wetter, BELLA triste and Tegel Media. She is currrently working on her prose debut, Moltov Cocktail Dress (Korbinian Verlag), alongside ongoing poetry and installation projects. She works and writes in German and English and is represented by rua. Kooperative für Text und Regie.
